Our Wedding

We are closing in on our big day. It's funny how the little things seem much more important now than when we had ample time to do it. Luckily we are still in control of these little things, but only by the grace of God are we able to go about each day planning and doing what needs to be done to make that day an unforgettable, lasting and happy experience.

Getting Ready to Go Camping

Some would say that going camping in the winter is not the best idea one can have... but then again, we rarely find ourselves doing the expected. And what better time to go than when nobody else wants to!! We are going to be the only people, at the camping resort, us and Stefan & Cheryl, who by the way are newlywed and looking forward to spending some time wrapped up in warm blankets! So we can make some noise... which we probably won't. In fact, the reason why we would be prepared to go camping in the middle of the winter, with nobody around, in one of the more secluded areas of our beautiful country (the campsite is only accessible through 12 km of dirt road, the photo is taken there) is to enjoy the peace and quiet the area has to offer. Urban lifestyle is just the thing for the young and up-and-coming, but getting to enjoy some peace and quiet once in awhile is just the recharge one needs to tackle everything again head on. Spiritually, our hearts belong in the wild, the only place we can get truly intimate with our Father, to hear His voice in the rustle of the leaves, to see his beauty in the reflection of the water and to enjoy his creation as man was meant to. Now, who says that does not make you want to get into the wild…even in the winter! Just did our shopping for the weekend…we may be cold, but we certainly won’t be starving. Looking forward to take some nice pics this weekend as well, have been aching to get some early morning pictures of nature. Taking the golf clubs along too, just won’t be the best weekend without a round of golf…that and the green fees are very cheap, so a good excuse to leave the beautiful women at the tents, and spend some time in the rough (I will enjoy the day I say I will spend my time one the fairway). Anyway, that is the plan, hopefully the weather and all factors are in our favour on our trip. O, and I took Monday off as Tuesday is a public holiday, so going to be there the whole weekend, and part of the week, enough time to appreciate being back at home in `n warm bed.

Take a walk with us...
